Very poorly managed. Maintenance and management both play blame game on issue in apartment. A lot of hidden fees. Every time you get close to renewal they come up with some made up fees. And they take forever to fix any maintenance issues and they blame maintenance on the poor job done. Management never takes responsibility for anything and is always rude.

I stayed at this apartment complex for only 10 days after booking through a third-party corporate housing service. The unit was in terrible condition - dirty floors, broken blinds, and appliances that didn't work properly. When I reported these issues, nothing was done. The elevators were out the entire time I was there, making it impossible to move anything. I ended up leaving early because the conditions were unacceptable. Would not recommend to anyone.

28-Month Resident: A Pattern of Lies, Negligence, and Violations
I've lived at Lofts at Sylvan Thirty for over 28 months. These are just some issues from the last 2-3 months, still unresolved as of 1/12/25.
Security Failures
An intruder tried to break into my apartment while I slept on my couch at 5am. Multiple people have come onto my patio to use my gym equipment. I reported every incident. Nothing was done. No investigation. No follow-up. The building gate is constantly broken—anyone can walk in off the street.
I posted a No Trespassing sign for protection. Management removed it. I put up another. They removed that too. No explanation.
When I reported the break-in attempt with footage, Kamita said she and the property manager reviewed it. Two days later I went in person. The property manager looked me in my face and said she hadn't seen the footage and knew nothing about it. Kamita shook her head—she knew the property manager had just lied to me. The property managers lie instead of taking accountability.
Staff Entering Without Notice
Management allowed the "owner of the building" and four strangers to walk through my apartment while I wasn't home. Texas Property Code requires advance written notice for non-emergency entry. This has been violated repeatedly.
Jordyn emailed after: "Hello Mr. Enoch, I wanted to let you know me and my contractors and the owner of the building walked your units patio I called 3 times to let you know but I wanted to send a email as well."
When I called Jordyn, she stated point blank there was no emergency—they just wanted to look at something.
I responded citing Texas Property Code requiring advance notice for non-emergencies.
Jordyn then replied: "This was a emergency inspection due to our engineering team requesting access to look at your balcony."
So on the phone: no emergency. First email: no mention of emergency. But when I cited the law, suddenly it was an "emergency inspection." She changed her story in writing.
Dog Feces / Health Violation
In November 2025 I reported dog feces accumulating on my patio. After multiple emails and calls, nothing was done. It's 1/12/25 and feces is still there. They told me not to contact my neighbor about it, yet they won't address it either.
Car Break-Ins
My car was broken into. My neighbor's car was stolen. Every single month cars get broken in or striped here. When I called about security footage, I was told 11 cars were broken into that same night as if that made mine less important. No empathy. No help. Nothing.
Water Leaks
I reported a serious leak. It took all day for anyone to come. The maintenance guy blamed my AC and said the main guy wouldn't be back until Monday (it was Tues). By Saturday the leak was rampant. Had I not pressed the issue, my ceiling would have caved in. Thankfully Jorge came back early from vacation and fixed it immediately. Multiple neighbors have lost everything to water damage here.
Elevators are out for months at a time. Current record: 6.5 months. Major accessibility issue ignored for years. Elevators are currently down and approaching a month as of 1.12.25
Other Issues Hallways smell like urine and weed. Stairs broken. Trash rooms always full.
They add new forced fees every year this year its forced internet and cable.
I asked to transfer to a unit two doors down to escape these issues. Jordyn said no they're prioritizing it for short term rental customer that looked at the place. After 28 months, they chose a short-term rental possibility over solving a issue for a current 3 year tenant.
No accountability, empathy, or professionalism. CAF Management only cares about you paying your rent and leaving them alone.
Would the people who run this property accept these conditions for themselves?
Instead of taking accountability and fix the issues they would rather farm reviews for tours, phone calls and new residents upon move in.
Please hit lowest reviews and read the real reviews from the real tenants. I hope other tenants speak up.

Living in this apartment is the worst living decision I have EVER made. These apartments are like a frog in a wedding dress. TERRIBLE!!!!!!!! Every bad review you have read is true!!!!! Bad elevators that break down weekly, dog poop all over the dog park area, and non working gates. This place needs housing authority called on them. It's over-priced for the raggedy outside appearance of these apartments. I'm looking forward to when my lease is up in the spring. I hate it here!!!!! People who move here will regret they signed the lease within the first 30 days. STAY AWAY!!!! IT'S DISGUSTING HERE!!!! As you look through these comments, how often do you see management respond to the negative comments?
I have left CAF management voice messages regarding these apartments (their property) and they SUCK TOO!!!!
Do your research & stay away from CAF properties. Don't fall for the lies of the apartment management listen to the reviews of the ones you live(d) here. You've been warned.

Elevators don’t work, access doors don’t lock, parking gates don’t work, management is non-existent, and packages get stolen.
Great location, though.

Living in this apartment complex has been one of the most frustrating and disappointing experiences I've had. The issues here are not just occasional inconveniences — they are constant and systemic, pointing to gross negligence by management and a complete lack of accountability.
Elevators? Always broken. And when they go out — which is often — don’t expect them to be fixed any time soon. It can take weeks or even months before repairs are made, leaving residents, including elderly and disabled tenants, to fend for themselves with zero concern from the management team.
Car break-ins? They happen regularly. There’s no security presence, no cameras in key areas, and absolutely no proactive effort to protect residents' property. People abandon cars in the lot and nothing is ever done about it. It’s clear that the complex does not monitor or enforce anything in the parking area.
Stairs? Broken and unsafe. Basic structural issues like this go ignored for long periods.
Pest problems? We had a serious bug infestation in our unit. When we brought it to the attention of the front office, their response was dismissive at best apathetic, unhelpful, and borderline insulting. It’s clear they have no interest in resident well-being unless it affects their bottom line.
What’s truly offensive is how quickly their attitude shifts when it’s time to renew your lease. Suddenly, they’re responsive, enthusiastic, and eager to engage, proving that they can communicate and act quickly when they want your money. But the moment you have a real issue? Radio silence.
This place is a revolving door of unresolved problems, neglected responsibilities, and a management team that genuinely does not care about its residents. If you're looking for a safe, well-maintained, and responsibly managed living environment — this is not it. Do yourself a favor and look elsewhere. There are far better places to live where your rent actually goes toward maintaining a livable space and respectful service.
Please Please Please read the other 1 and 2 star reviews. They showcase exactly what the experience of living here is like.
I understand that issues happen — elevators break, pests get in, things go wrong. That’s life. But what’s not acceptable, and what absolutely must change, is the attitude and customer service from your front office staff.
They do not care. There is zero urgency, zero accountability, and zero empathy shown when residents bring up real problems that affect their health, safety, and day-to-day lives. Whether it’s a broken elevator, a bug infestation, unsafe stairs, or car break-ins, the standard response is to brush it off, offer no timeline, and act like it’s not their problem.
It’s insulting to pay high rent and get ignored when something goes wrong, only to suddenly get cheerful emails and calls when it’s time to renew the lease. That tells us everything we need to know about what this management team prioritizes and thats profit over people.
Until you start treating residents with basic respect and urgency, this place will continue to be known for mismanagement, neglect, and disappointment. The problems may not all be avoidable, but the way you handle them is entirely within your control. Fix the culture in your front office. Start acting like you care.

Spoke to someone named Carmisha , she sounded very uninterested upon me calling . I was placed on hold for about 10 mins. The call kept hanging up . When i finally spoke with her I asked about having an appointment for the weekend to come look at an apartment and She kept huffing as if it was an issue I was calling . I definitely don’t think this would be an apartment I’m interested in visiting if the first contact I’m having with an agent was as rude as she was today .

Run away from this apartment if you can. My sister and I have lived here for almost 3 years and she has posted multiple reviews about how poorly managed this apartment complex is. Our neighbor Bruno was also kicked out recently because his entire apartment was flooded and he received no help at all. Please read his review also. Do not even waste your time touring at this place, unless you want water leaking from your bathroom, elevators that never work, valet trash services neglected for a period of time, shootings that occurred a few doors down but was never disclosed to all residents, now recently a mandatory wifi to be enforced soon that who knows if it'll even work properly like the rest of this place. As I said, please run away!!!!

I've lived at Sylvan Thirty for over 2.5 years, and while I hesitated to post a review due to fear of retaliation, it's important to share my experience—especially as management continues to request five-star reviews from residents. While there are a few positives—like responsive maintenance staff, great downtown views (from select units), and relatively affordable rent—the overall experience has been disappointing due to poor management and chronic property issues.
The main elevator closest to my unit has been broken for over half the time I’ve lived here, including a stretch from Nov 2024 to April 2025. I had to carry my blind, elderly dog up four floors of stairs multiple times daily. Also, the call button for the main elevator has not been functional on the first level of the resident parking garage for over a year, and still doesn't as of today. You have to take the stairs either up or down a floor to use it, park lower in the garage, or park on the unsecured parking level. Additionally, you have to drive over a massive ledge (see photo) in the parking garage to get the lower level (due to them not allowing use of the alternate parking gate, see below). This has gotten increasing worse over the last couple years to the point that it damaged the underside of my roommate’s vehicle requiring repair. The alternate elevator, on the complete other side of the building, is also frequently out of service, and stairwells were crumbling and unsanitary (see photo with time stamps for length of persisting issue), with biohazards (blood, vomit, feces) left for weeks despite repeated reports.
Security is also a concern. There were multiple car break-ins and even a shooting just a few doors from my unit—yet no communication from management. Blood from the shooting was left in the hallways for weeks. The property’s effort to combat the car vandalism was to not allow residents to use the other parking garage gate entirely, rather than have a meaningful security presence, requiring residents to travel to length of the building to enter secure parking. Cars have been abandoned on the property and are scavenged for parts (see photo) making parking areas more susceptible and dangerous. Gate access regularly malfunctions, stairwell doors have had handles removed (see photo), and property-wide issues often go ignored or are acknowledged with automated emails that continue to send even after the issue is resolved leading to confusion.
Management has historically been unprofessional and unresponsive. We lost a rent promotion due to staff mishandling of our application information and not including appropriate emails, a referral bonus wasn’t honored, and a refund check from the property management company bounced due to insufficient funds. Staff members, mostly Kourtney, were rude, dismissive, and unwilling to help. Basic move-in issues like incorrect keys, wall damage such as gaping holes between tile and dry wall, broken blinds, and missing flooring were brushed off and met with passive aggressive commentary. They rarely pick up the phone, and if you have continued issues you just get ignored.
Pet owners should also be aware: the complex has only two pet waste stations, one inside the dog park on one side of the building and the other on the opposite side of the building. Many owners from nearby buildings use the park as it has open access, and pet waste is frequently left behind even when bags are available.
Water often comes in through under the front door of the apartment, and pools outside the door leading to bacteria and a breeding ground for insects (see photo).
To be fair, maintenance—particularly one long-time team member—has always been courteous and quick to respond. And yes, the rent may seem attractive, but there are better options in the area at competitive prices.
I recommend checking out Bishop Ridge properties, Los Altos, Victor Prosper, Bishop Central, or the Trinity before considering Sylvan Thirty.

I love living at this properties' location! HOWEVER!!! This place keeps adding on new fees each month. 4 months ago our water increased to over a $100+ a month, after a pipe burst in a vacant apartment during the winter months. NOW these jokers are wanting to charge us $65 a month for an internet service that we've never had, it's mandatory! 1st of all, I already have internet & i am completely happy with it. Now I am being forced to use & PAY $65 MORE dollars a month for a service I already have, that I am happy with, and DON'T NEED!!!!! We have lived here 5 years & haven't considered moving UNTIL NOW!!!! Don't move here! Our elevator was down for over 5 months!!! They increased our water bill by over $100 & now we are having $65 worth of crappy internet forced on us!! DO NOT MOVE HERE!!!!!!!! I've tried calling them to see when a so-called meeting is supposed to take place regarding this asinine internet service mandation, it will answer, place you on hold, after an initial hold time, it will then automatically disconnect you every time, never speaking to a live person. I have called 2 different #'s multiple times!

For the last five months, one of the elevators has been completely out of service, and the other has rarely worked. Since there are no apartments on the first floor, this means having to climb several flights of stairs, which is especially difficult for people with mobility issues but is also difficult for daily tasks like carrying up groceries, packages, etc.
The stairs themselves have also been falling apart. The cement is crumbling, with pieces regularly breaking off, and the rebar is exposed, which makes it unsafe. The stairs door is another issue—it’s often broken, hard to open, and sometimes it won’t open at all. This is especially difficult given it's one of the few ways up to the apartments since both elevators have been broken.
Even though these problems have been reported multiple times by multiple residents, it took five months before anything was done, and only yesterday (right before moving season) were the elevators mostly fixed. I’ve also noticed management requesting positive reviews around this time, which feels a bit like a response to these long-standing issues. While I appreciate that the elevators are now working, these problems have been consistent for years, and it’s unclear if they will be addressed properly moving forward.

Haven’t been there a year just yet but for the time I been there the elevators are always down and the main elevator has been down about five months now. This is the elevator that is three steps away from my apartment. The main reason the wife and I took this apartment. As a person with seizures and heart failure it is not safe to take the stairs all the time. The place is unsanitary because of the pets. They have rules about leaving trash out at your door but when this is done there is no violation giving to those that do it. I know because they continue to do it. However, it is a nice area to live in but it doesn’t feel like the luxury as they promote.

Do not move here.
On February 20th, 2025 at about 1:00pm, I noticed water coming down from just about every part of the ceiling and walls, HVAC, etc. A sprinkler pipe burst, destroying Unit 340 along with all of the units above and below it. I lost everything in this situation- the elevators were all down, as usual, meaning I wasn't able to get my furniture out before it was damaged by the water.
Kita Wallace, the property manager, promised to cooperate with me and my insurance. Instead, I was forced to evacuate as much of my personal property as possible, down 12 flights of stairs (so not much), within a few days so that they could have contractors work on the unit. I was offered no help with this effort. Shortly afterwards, contrary to her promises (in writing and over the phone), Kita forced me out and ended the lease. I am currently paying for hotel costs, out of pocket, and due to her mishandling, I am fighting with my insurance to make up the costs I have incurred.
Bottom line: I am homeless now and on the hook for thousands of dollars, due to the neglectful conduct of Sylvan Thirty's building management, both leading up to the incident as well as afterwards.

I was initially very excited to move into this complex, but my experience has been quite disappointing. With my move-in date scheduled for tomorrow, I have not received any communication from the management in the past three weeks, despite multiple attempts to reach out via phone calls, emails, and voicemails. (even a couple of instances where i had called and the phone rang one time before it was terminated)
This lack of responsiveness has left me in a difficult position, potentially needing to find alternative housing at the last minute. While the location is great and the staff appeared friendly at first, the apparent unreliability and lack of support for prospective residents are concerning.
I would recommend that anyone considering applying here first exhaust all other options.

My experience with this complex has been horrible! It’s hard to get in contact with them and when you do talk to them they give you the run around.First I paid almost 500$ to even apply. They ended up denying my application but not providing valid reason. I tried to pull up application and it had disappeared on top of them not sending me a denial letter until almost a month later again still blank and only say low credit…they continued to lie about a refund being sent out. It took three weeks for me to finally see a portion of what I paid in the form of a paper check. Again I paid nearly 500 and they refunded me 150$. This place is a scam don’t apply because they will keep your money even if you don’t qualify. When I asked why I hadn’t received my full refund minus application fee they claimed majority of what they charge to apply is non refundable. I’m pissed beyond words and I am trying to figure out how to dispute with my bank. Save yourself the frustration and look elsewhere!

I came for a 10:30 tour on a Saturday. At 10:52 the agent came back to the desk after wrapping up a tour and said I couldn’t do my tour because I had one person ahead of me. Another lady was also waiting for her 1030 tour. No apology and no prior communication that they’re running an hour behind schedule. Communicate early and give folks the option to reschedule instead of being inconsiderate of individuals time.

I have held out as long as I could to write this review, but I couldn’t hold it any longer. The elevators in this building have worked maybe a third of the time that I’ve lived here. If you don’t enjoy taking the stairs, do not live here. I get at least one email a week about one of the two elevators being out. It is absolutely unacceptable. I just hope that the elevator works by the time I have to move out next week. Gave an extra star because of the nice views if you live on the top floor, it’s the only consolation.

The assistant manager is so unprofessional and do to her oversight on my request to go month to month, as she admitted in writing, I am being forced out of my apartment. I was only asking to go month to month for 1 additional month and there are several other units available.
I have lived there for 3 years and have had numerous reasons to complain. I voiced my concerns on our enteral portal and never went public until now. I even offered insight on how the previous management maintained the upkeep of the property.
And I was told in the response to my complaint to call and discuss my situation and I was told by the assistant manager that she will not be rewriting or simply changing the apartment number on the new tenants lease. Not that it couldn’t be done but she said she’s just not doing it. It bothers me because there are other units available. I guess being a loyal tenant doesn’t matter at the complex.

I lived here for two years. It started off magical under the original management. CAF management then took over and gave me some of the worst living experiences I have ever had. From refusal to help when cars are broken into constantly, overall quality of life issues, the corner cutting maintenance. It was genuinely the poorest excuse for a luxury style apartment I could imagine. The thing that finally brings me to this review was moving out. They stole money in late fees in the most criminal of ways. their signature portal went from $331.40 dollars pro-rated amount which I paid on the 2nd of the move out month. This became $289 shortly after when we had left according to our move out date written. This jumped another $110 after reviewing final expenses in the security deposit deductions. That doesn't include the fact that the original paid amount and the $289 shortly after both said they included water and parcel fees yet I still had to pay additional fees relating to both and late fees for rent I wasn't allowed to pay on time. Almost $800 robbed due to the absolutely awful communication and practices of CAF management . I forgot to mention my favorite part, their partnership with United Tows LLC. Literally one of the worst reviewed towing companies of the Dallas area.(Damaged my car during towing also). If you like getting your car stolen from you for being a week out of registration this is the place for you. If you like your windows shattered this is the place for you. If you like every step into the leasing office being a more and more stressful experience this is the place for you.

I’ve called multiple times on Tuesday and emailed, the leasing office never calls back or answer. I was told by Amazon that my package was dropped off in their mail room on Monday by accident, they were closed Monday so I called Tuesday numerous times with no answer or called back- went there Wed. Leasing agent stated no boxes get dropped off here but they were closed Monday so wasn’t sure how she would know without checking. Very bad customer service.

Management has changed 3 times over 2 years. Elevators are SLOW and broken pretty much weekly, god forbid you’re handicapped. Elevator was broken most of Christmas week, leaving residents carrying loads of gifts, food, luggage, etc. upstairs. Oh, and there is only 1 staircase to the parking garage meaning you will have to walk pretty much the entire complex to get to your car. Maintenance changes all the time but they are all nice and try to work through the dysfunction for the most part. Latest management company can’t seem to keep any staff. Only 2 people are supposed to be running the entire complex. Kourtni is very rude with a nasty attitude for no apparent reason. Jazmine tries but overall she’s just there. Good luck getting somebody to answer the office phone. I’ve watched them
Ignore calls through the glass windows. If you need something, just go inside. Sadly. Nobody tries to actually help with anything just respond as if they already know what you’re going to say or ask for. Or as if you’re annoying them by asking them to do their job. They both clearly hate working here but that’s not residents problem. Parking garages are pretty sketchy and dark overall. Broken down cars all over. Prices keep rising for every little thing. Regardless of the evident deterioration of everything else. Definitely not worth it. Only pros would be the convenience of location and the small businesses surrounding the complex. Get more bang for your buck elsewhere! With positive attitudes!!

It’s the worst managed property I’ve lived at. There’s constant issues of cleanliness in the public areas. Trash piled up in parking garages. Slow elevator that constantly breaks down and takes forever to get repaired. Malfunctioning fire alarms that go off randomly in my room when I already have bad tinnitus. I believe they flooded some apartments recently. Lazy and incompetent maintenance workers. A tiny gym with hardly any equipment, and residents who misuse it. Many cars broken into and stolen from locked underground lots. They also charge money for parking spots in the garage now. Oh and rent keeps going up despite their deteriorating service.
The best part is that they throw these community events and parties thinking that will keep people happy when they should really just manage better and spend that money on things that matter and all would be well.

I've lived here almost a year now and thankfully my lease is up next month (11/22).
Pros:
Pretty good views (my apartment faces downtown). Appliances are decent. Pretty good food options right next to the complex.
Cons:
Work orders either never get done or they take weeks to months to do (regardless of urgency). They also close out maintenance requests that aren't fixed. It's probably to make it seem like they have less issues than they do, and force residents to request the issue again.
I've had my AC go out just about every month. I keep in contact with other renters in the community and this is not an isolated issue either.
The toilet in my roommate's bathroom has been broken for months now, and despite putting in a work order for it, it has yet to be fixed. As of late, the staff has become very rude when asked about the status of prolonged unresolved issues (last week one of them hung up on me after accusing me of never putting in the work order).
There have been multiple cars broken into in the parking garage, one of my friends included. People will also mess with your car and leave trash on it.
Final Thoughts:
Anyone that is going to be living here, don't forget that according to these leases, if issues pertaining to a certain standard of living aren't rectified after a certain number of times (usually three in writing), you have the option to vacate your unit without penalty (not legal advice). Better yet, I'd avoid this place altogether. For the price, there are better options in the area.
I'm sure they will attempt to add hidden charges towards move out time, so I will be sure to update this review with any other problems in that arena.

I’ve had so many issues with my apartment and so many different work orders have been put in by me. They either never do it or mark it complete online then I have to put in another one. The staff never answer the phone either even when I do need something. I also asked them to please unlock my door as I accidentally left the key inside and locked the bottom lock. I called twice and both people said they would do. I even sent an email with my ID and the apartment number and they still did not do it. I got off of work at 6 and I knew they wouldn’t be able to do anything after 6. I called them multiple times since 1 pm that day. So my dog was locked inside and I ended up having to call a locksmith. Plus the elevators hardly ever work, so if you park on one side your probably going to have to go to the other side or just walk down the stairs. I’m definitely looking for other places to live.

It hurts my heart to have to write this, because we have lived here for a couple years and love the area.... but this is the 2nd time that my car has been vandalized while parked in the gated garage, once my catalytic converter was stolen and now my rear window was broken and my car broken into. I wish that management would take these occurrences seriously.
Update re Sylvan Thirty's response: apparently having a courtesy officer is not enough, you'd think he would have noticed the glass all over the floor if he was circling the garage all night like they claim. What you're doing is not enough!!

If I could give you zero stars, I would like to.
One of the management was very unkind.
I've never seen her smile in a year.
I think the unit I lived in was where the person who lived before raised the animal. Animal hair was stuck all over the kitchen stove and cabinet. I didn't raise animals, but I was offended by the poor cleaning.
The garage gate often broke down and was very uncomfortable because it couldn't be fixed quickly.
I cleaned the carpet before moving out. I didn't raise an animal and I never spilled a drop of water on the carpet. But they claimed $50 for the replacement of the carpet costs. I saw on the management office board that a new person would move in two days. They can replace the carpet with one day.
When I asked for a receipt for replacing carpet, they sent me a handwritten receipt on paper. I can't believe it.
It was my third apartment and it was the worst experience among the three.

Tour apartment, up front told the leasing agent that my boyfriend and I are NEW renters (NO HISTORY) and also have no credit, we were told no worries, they’ve seen the situation plenty times before and quote “everyone has to start somewhere right?” and simply told that we’d probably have to secure a higher deposit than the average. okay great. we apply, excluding 4th of july weekend, we are given the run around with our application, having to constantly call and keep getting told “we should know this afternoon, or tomorrow morning” for a WEEK STRAIGHT, all just to be denied ! i don’t understand why it couldn’t have just been said in a timely manner!! we are trying to move in a hurry and they gave us a week set back
for their own selfish reasonings. WOULDN'T RECOMMEND IF YOU DONT WANT YOUR TIME PLAYED WITH . worst first applying experience ever!

I've tried contacting these apts multiple times and left 3 voicemails. No one has returned my calls, within the span of 1 week. I decided just to drive by today office was closed at 3pm. I waited 30 min to see if anyone would call me back. I could only imagine the frustrations residents may have.

This review is only based on the first impression, I do not live here.
We arrived at this place for a tour, and the doors were locked but there was a leasing consultant in there, we walked to the vendor door and it was also locked, the leasing consultant was just staring at us while we were trying to figure out how to get inside and she had clients there as well. She finally approached the door and opened it and asked us if we were interested in the apartments, we said yes. She proceeded to tell us that she was super booked. She asked to take my info down and said she would send me quotes later that day and that we could do a virtual tour (since we were leaving Dallas the next morning). NOT ONCE did she send me the quotes or reached back out to me. Not only that, but I felt like it was unprofessional for her to just stare at us while we were trying to get in.
Based on this experience I will not rent here.

Office personal is horrible. I went to go inquire about an apartment and the lady that was helping me kept telling me to hold on because she was on her phone. When she finally went to take me to show me the property all she did was stand at one spot and point and say there is the gym, that is the pool, and the common area. That's it. Let me know if you're interested. THAT"S ALL! took me back to the office and said "okay we're done" I just left.
That is unprofessional!

This apartment complex sucks. The walls are super thin and we can hear the neighbors breathe. They also randomly decide to tow half of the residents that live there out of the parking garage on a Sunday night. So when everybody woke up the next morning to go to work on Monday their cars were gone. Do not move here.

First off, I didn't really want give a 1 star to begin off with. The customer service is HORRIBLE!! There was a guy that supposed to been helping me name "Allen", but he was very rude & didn't know anything. He switch us to a lady name Nicole WITHOUT NOTICE and made us feel very uncomfortable. Allen was judgmental and started helping others guess that walked in behind us. There property is very small for extreme a high price. They're unhappy workers with bad services. I did read the reviews before I went, and yes DON'T EVEN BOTHER YOUR TIME ATTENDING OR IT WILL GET WASTED.

Don't waste your time and money!!!
Where to start? Management is incompetent and lacks common sense! Although they have posted their business hours they rarely stick to their schedule, making it, sometimes, frustrating! Complains are never solved. Somebody vandalized our front door and the issue has never been resolved! Security is practically non existent, therefor a couple vehicles have been broken into. Elevators flood and do not function for months after heavy rains. Parking lots flood and repairs to them are constantly being made, still to no result! The noise from the construction across the street is atrocious, sometimes carried late into the night (1 am). The one star is for the beautiful city view, which only the top floor still has, otherwise it would be No stars!!

I don't typically post bad reviews as I know they have the ability to dilute business. That being said, this particular business is a lost cause. My wife and I were one of the first units to move into Sylvan and Thirty almost a year ago. We wanted this place to work. The community is great but the rosiness has worn thin. A lot of residence are fed up.
The Good:
- Greystar (Management Company) has tried there best to mitigate the challenging property. We're appreciative of the leasing and building team who try to make the best of it. That being said, I would assume Greystar backs out of the building management once their term is up.
- The View + the Unit | we face downtown and there isn't a better view in the city. We're paying a premium for the patio and view and it would be well worth it despite the building.
- Cibo Divino, Cox Market, Burguesa and Ten Ramen (all great food spots right outside)
The Bad:
- The Construction - Unfortunately, the building construction is a nightmare. We came to learn that the ownership hadn't built something like this before and it shows (everywhere). Also, the construction company, Spring Valley, should be audited for their shoddy and piecemeal construction. I see their signs around town and wish I could send a note to the potential building owners... because it has been a disaster.
- No Elevator - The main elevator has been out of commission since last October (yes, since we moved in). The builders thought it a good idea to have an inward slopping garage which funnels the water into the elevator shaft. That being said, the fix times range from 2 weeks - 2 months at a time as we wait on parts from Germany. Needless to say but it has been functional less than 10% of our stay. Guess what... we are on the first floor however that is 3 floors up. Your moving company will love this...
- Noise - Unfortunately, if you're facing downtown... you're also facing the newest construction (Spring Valley again, yeah!). The sliding glass doors to the patio are low grade and provide little to no volume control to the outside. Construction has been delayed because of the rain which means early mornings for construction crews.
- Timing - the developer communicated that activity in the vacant store fronts that reside in front of the Lofts would commence sometime before the end of 2014. Needless to say, that never came to fruition. Half are still vacant.
- The Communication - I realize Greystar has little to no control over the building. That being said, we have not once heard from the developer/ownership. There are seemingly - weekly problems with the building and Greystar continues to take the hit. We have requested more fluid communication from Greystar which has happened however it is still "vague" in nature as building fixes are met with indefinite timelines.
- The Water - it is always nice to wake up to water in your kitchen. Especially when it is from the hallway. Much like the elevator fiasco, the water diversion within each level is nonexistent. That means, whenever we get heavy rains from the north or West - then our hallways are filled with a quarter inch of standing water. This water then moves quickly under the floor boards and into our apartment.
I will stop here. I wished this place the best. We have communicated our frustration and although the management company has done there best to manage us... I am done. I'd recommend this place to no one. Ask other folks that live here - you will hear the same. It is a train wreck.
